Trade Standards

TRADE STANDARDS AND APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING PROGRAMS

North Pacific Inc. works extensively with Industry Training Organizations to develop and revise standards for trade certifications which must meet the requirements of the BC Industry Training Authority (ITA).

Our work includes:

• Research and consultation with industry stakeholders to develop a program delivery model for a particular trade or industry, including required ITA submissions and associated documents

• Development of competency standards for newly defined trades, captured in a Program Outline and Occupation Analysis Chart

• Consultation with stakeholders and subject matter experts to revise and update existing trade competency standards

• Creation and revision of examinations and practical assessments, including Tables of Specifications, Level Exams and Certificate of Qualification Exams

• Design and development of instructional materials for apprenticeship training programs, both for the classroom and the workplace.
