Who we are

VALERIE QUIRK - holds a Masters degree in Educational Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree from Concordia University, Montreal. In addition she possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology from the University of Waterloo. Valerie has acted as consultant, lead designer and project manager for numerous projects. Below are several examples of projects Valerie has successfully completed:

  • Co-designed an instructional game for building competencies in railway regulations.
  • Participated in the design and development of a six-module self-study program for revenue and accounting computerized systems for a railway.
  • Participated in the analysis, design and development of a self-study course for a bank’s financial services and products.
  • Completed job and task analyses for computerizing the shipping job functions of a large retail distribution center, created the training program for its full time employees and conducted train-the-trainer sessions.
  • Co-developed a workshop that is offered throughout North America.
  • Co-developed an ISO 9000 certification course, completed job and task analyses for a mutual fund’s processing center and developed the training program for its full time employees. Conducted a Train-the-Trainer Workshop for internal instructors.
  • Acted as team lead and project manager in the design and development of a classroom and on-the-job training course for the automation of the granulation process for making tablets for a pharmaceutical company. Conducted a Train-the-Trainer Workshop for internal instructors.
  • Co-developed the script for a health and safety awareness video for sales associates of a computer company.
  • Co-designed and developed a sales skills training course for NT Service Solutions for a computer company.
  • Acted as lead designer for the development of a CD-ROM based performance support system on troubleshooting and preventative maintenance for the automotive industry. This CD-ROM recently won the ISPI 2002 Award of Excellence for Outstanding Performance Aid.
  • Acted as project manager and team lead in the design and development of a classroom-training course for the implementation of a back-office category management inventory system for the automotive industry.
  • Designed and developed two one-day workshop courses for the head office employees of a major pulp and paper company.
  • Assisted in the design and development of a performance support system for the implementation of a new CRM software system for a major utility company.
